I’m absolutely blown away by this eye drawing my 5th grade son did, thought I’d share it with y’all.
Me showing up to the nursing home back in January to do hair…crazy times, thankfully it was only that one week that my attire was that dramatic.

About For His Purpose~ My name is Alicia and I'm a thirty-something year old who loves Jesus. Only through God’s amazing grace and mercy I have been redeemed from past regret and shame. Reading His word has allowed me to look past Satan’s forceful lies, to see myself for who Christ says I am in Him. Through writing I have learned why I made the choices I made in my younger years and I now have a better understanding of why I desire to love God like crazy these days. Despite my daily failures, God remains faithful always. I am reassured of His unconditional love for me by every ink-drop spilled out on paper, each committed prayer as I cry out to Him, and deep understanding reflected through reading His word as truth. Yes keeping a blog will make me vulnerable to others’ opinions- there will be some who don’t understand, some who may criticize or judge, but on the other hand if just one piece expressed through my writing grabs someone’s attention and directs them to God, then pouring out my heart in a blog for the world to read is worth it. I choose to glorify Him alone through words streaming across a glowing screen. And it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t reveal the fact that I’m incredibly quirky; I’m my loving husband’s best friend, my vivacious kids’ craziest cheerleader and spiritual trainer (3 John 1:4). I love anything farmhouse and rustic style. I think cupping a warm coffee mug in the palm of my hands is more satisfying than the contents within. I share a common obsession with my husband for the mountains, but I would (without a doubt) settle for waves crashing against my legs at the Atlantic Ocean just as well, and I almost always have a Yorkie curled up on my lap while writing. *All photos are photographed by forhispurpose.blog and therefore may not be stored or photocopied in any manner.

  1. Love the photos and personal sharing through them Alecia. You are rich in God, family and pet. Now I need a kayak. I bet a kayak would work behind the atv in the winter for grandkids. I would need two side by side or they would probably roll…hmmm

    1. 😂😂😂yes that would be quite a thrill for them!! My husband pulls the kids behind our four wheeler but they sit on a sled, never thought about using the kayak…someone would probably end up in the E.R.!!

  4. You have a lovely family. I love telling that to young families because those whose children had already grown up told me that when my kids were young. They would always talk about our kids being respectful, how they knew how to talk to older people. Enjoy, it passes so fast and sometimes we get stuck in the hard times, (the teen years). It’s hard to grow yourself when you are pouring so much into your kids and they need it. I was just thinking a while ago about our little church and how it is growing. we do not have any babies yet but I am thinking soon there will be. Nothing better then little babies to sweeten a body of believers. There is safety in that sweet body for the parents just starting out into parenting. My motto was, “this too will pass”. The not sleeping at night, and before you know it they want to go to a sleep over, then they will be missing sleep to study those college courses. All the good and bad passes away and God wants us to grow in the middle of it, grow in Him and our understanding of His love for us. Lovely post too…I am a picture girl so I really like that part. Blessings.

  5. Love your brave daffodils and tulips standing tall against the snow. We awoke to our own flowers-in-the-snow this morning. And no, we don’t live in Canada; home is Ohio. Today’s white blanket breaks a 120-year record in these parts. I hope our plants survive! P.S. Kudos to your son for that FANTASTIC drawing!
